You guys have a super site! The ability to get maps of specific areas without having to buy three or four separate mapsheets and paste them together is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I also own and use Terrain Navigator, which is great for producing maps of small areas, but when we need a map of a large area, there is nothing better than your service.

I am writing you to thank you for you rapid service and excellent quality expedition maps. I recently did a 4-day solo trek in Southern Nevada, Mount Charleston area to be specific. To be completely honest, I have only been in this area once in my life, and that was just driving on the expressway. As a result, it was very important to me to get my hands on some really great topographical maps so I could do a thorough map reconnaissance for route planning. Ordering one expedition map eliminated the need for four regular USGS topo maps! This was a huge benefit for me, especially because my area of interest was generally located at the connecting center corner of four adjacent traditional maps - what a pain! Once in the field, your weatherproof maps worked great! I was carrying the map in my lower leg cargo pocket and after traversing a few knee to waste deep snow chutes, my pants were a bit damp. This resulted in the ranger station map becoming damp, ink smeared, and ! un readable. However, my expedition map had no problem! Thanks again, I'll be telling all my friends about your great product!

Forwarded Post from Customer to an Ultrarunner Listserve I have to make a recommendation. I am scouting out a run and could find no good maps of the area. I bit the bullet and took a chance and ordered a map from Topozone/myTopo.com. I have used their site a lot to scout routes but never ordered a hard copy map. I got the map in and it is great. A 1:15,000 of the exact area I specified. The beauty of the thing is that this map would normally overlap two standard maps. My map is seamless, exceptionally sharp and on waterproof/tear resistant paper. For those of you familiar with such things, it even includes the current declination as of December 22 2001! In my case crucial for my cross country route.

The interface is great. You locate your area via a good search engine. View the area at a number of optional levels, select the scale for your map, drag the little box to the area you want for your map, and select.

The cost is $14.95, with shipping mine came to $16.45 and was in the mailbox four days after I ordered it - and this was on Dec, 22… no financial interest - just a great resource.

I'm an avid fly fisherman and love to have detailed maps for the locations where I fish. I've wrestled with the USGS site and others, and have spent a lot of time and effort trying to track down dealers of USGS topo maps. Invariably, the area I want to see consists of 4 or more USGS maps, and they're 'currently out of stock'.
